Hey,

Can anyone with Cable or Satellite (Direct TV/D!sh) tell me if they will be airing any of the qualifier games for the world cup? I don't think they will be on regular broadcast but rather will be on pay per view which is fine, would just like to know regardless. I'd like to know about them all but more notably on the Croatia vrs Kazakhstan (9/6/08) and Croatia vrs England (9/10/08) games.

Thanks.

I'm pretty sure direct tv or the dish network will be airing them on the soccer channel..let alone, I believe that cable also has a soccer channel that has been pretty up to date with current tourneys and qualifying games

GOOGLE P2P TV.  All games are free to watch if you have an internet connection.

(TVAnts and Sopcast are the best P2P applications)

I wish I could say yes, but the qualifiers have been normally overlooked by most US based carriers (this was the case with the '04 qualifiers and this years Euro cup qualifiers).

On that FIFA site they are providing text coverage only. I know I can watch it on a small shitty poor quality internet video feed - that's how I watched all of the euro cup qualifiers. I am looking to watch it on the tele somewhere (bar, house, etc) and was wondering if one of the locally available channels offers it.

unfortunately joey, unless the games get shown on the soccer channel or telemundo.....you're going to end up watching them at one of the soccer specific bars like you usually end up at.

And thats fine, if its only pay per view we can order it at someones house - however I cannot verify as I dont have those services. Also if its only available at bars - thats fine, I can call Highburry or Sin Bin and make sure they order it.

So-called "global warming" is just a secret plot by wacko tree huggers to make America energy independent, clean our air and water, improve the fuel efficiency of our vehicles, kick-start 21st-century industries, and make our cities safer and more livable. Don't let them get away with it!

In case anyone wants to know we will watch the game Saturday via satellite link on HRT (Croatian TV) at the park and the England game at Highburry.
