A vacant building at 2235-37 N. King Drive where an illegal rave took place over the weekend will be placarded by the Department of Neighborhood Services today at noon, Milwaukee police said Monday.

The owner of the building, Paul Bachowski, was arrested by police and cited for a number of violations, including operating an unlicensed facility, said Anne E. Schwartz, Milwaukee police spokeswoman.

Two security guards who were armed were also arrested for carrying a concealed weapon because they did not have gun permits, she said.

Early Sunday morning police said they counted 312 juveniles at the rave where a DJ was playing music and youth were dancing.

I guess in this day and age, a "rave" is a rave based upon it being a party for all-ages, and not a sanctioned club that pays taxes.  from the details in this story I read early sunday morning on wisn, along with the minimal details that jsonline shared, this was more of a hip-hop crowd.

I highly doubt anyone was here from Mstrkrft, as I've never been to an underground party with armed bouncers and the dj being arrested for a homicide warrant.

heh 3 blocks away from me.  wondering if it was in the old Walgreens building on the corner, as nothing else right there fits the bill of being able to hold 300 plus ppl.
