eh, stone... sometimes his movies are crappy, but other times they're fucking awesome.
i think it'll be a lot of fun, and the concept (a movie about a sitting president) is intriguing to me. i'll def. check it out...

i think you're assuming Stone wants to make a political movie, rather than a movie about a political figure.
A McCain movie would certainly be more controversial, but he's not nearly as tragic or, well... humorous as GW, who has already had two TV comedies about him.
I'm not entirely convinced that ripping on McCain will effect McCain's chances more than ripping on Bush will, either. McCain's done some crappy, stupid stuff, but nobody disgraces the GOP like W.

i'm thinkin yer gonna need about 35M to make this one. you'll have to film on location in vietnam *of course* plus yer gonna need multiple planes to crash. this is gonna be an expensive one.
