much much closer than most ppl probably would have imagined. last time I saw the stats, McCain was leading in the popular vote, but Obama had him beat in the electoral. oh, the irony that will be spoken of on that one if McCain beats out Obama in the popular, but Obama becomes President.  |

Right now CNN has Obama leading popular vote and that will only increase once the west coast results come in.

great, so the downside is now starting to show face. it's like a fricken sports team has won the championship in my neighborhood. gun shots are going off, windows (or glass) are being broken, there's a drum major parade going on with ppl walking down MLK Drive, horns honking, and cars are having a sound system competition on the streets. Helicopters are flying over the neighborhood. yeehaw...never going to get sleep tonight  |

Haa .... thats what Paul told me, its like America's favorite team won the superbowl or something it's crazy out there right now. the gun shots have stopped.....however, ppl were setting off fireworks for a bit. helicopters have moved a few blocks and miles more north / northwest of here, but are still shinning lights down on the area. |

well, Obama has the cards in his hand now. he has a majority dem backing in all 3 of the wings of government, so there should be no reason why anything in his campaigning platform shouldn't get passed and implemented asap after being sworn in. wonder which of them he'll concentrate on first. any thoughts?

yeah, all day..around our new neighborhood people have been honking their horns. but we have a voting place a hop skip and a jump away!
and then, now...it has finally settled down.
but all night, i could hear people chanting & cheering!
it was really cool to hear & see so many people this excited!
