If EVERYONE is VIP, does that mean you really are VIP?

So-called "global warming" is just a secret plot by wacko tree huggers to make America energy independent, clean our air and water, improve the fuel efficiency of our vehicles, kick-start 21st-century industries, and make our cities safer and more livable. Don't let them get away with it!

I already know I'm VIP, but if you're saying I'm VIP then I better be getting treatment/service than all the other peeps in the place otherwise what's the point?
Seems more like a gimmick to make everyone feel 'special' while still treating everyone the same.

only out of coincidence that it got brought up in this thread, am I replying to it. by no means is this an attack towards Suite and their ownership/management group.....more or less just my personal .02 on the whole "vip" motif in this city lately. VIP means nothing anymore. anyone and everyone can get into a VIP area if they are willing to spend money that night, or know someone. In the current stage it's in, I'd much rather pony up to the bar and drink/do shots with a friend who's bartending and the ownership/management.....then sit in "vip" and act the part of being "cool" because i'm in VIP. I miss the days where a club (and a certain former promoter wink wink ) used to hand out VIP cards to only those who we felt were worthy of VIP status. ie.....you were a regular, you partied your ass off when you were in the club, you danced, you got into the music, you dressed the part and dressed to impress, you brought people with you each and every time you stepped foot into that place...etc. To me that deserves being in an exclusive area of the club, where not everyone can just go, sit down, ppl watch, and be catered to by staff and management. Instead, now all you have to do is be willing to spend a few hundred dollars on a bottle of Grey Goose, or have some nice plastic hardware as part of your permanent body, and you are considered VIP.

Totally agree Josh, what it means to be VIP and deserve that title has completely changed over the years to the point where it has no value any more

I know the point yer getting across Joey, but it's not even that all of these places are expensive. VIP has just become another marketing term thats an eye catcher and caters to customers subliminal mindset.

it has its moments. i've certainly enjoyed my times in the VIP buying bottles and acting a fool.
i think it's just a phase people go through.
i'm with josh on this one. now i'd way rather belly up to the bar and line up some crown.

*Just a pre-cursor especially since I haven't been online here in a while - I do work at Buckhead and Suite is like a distant cousin to us in our company, BUT this isnt hyping Suite up all because as far as we are concerned its just new competition on our block...competition to be crushed! hahhaha LOL...*
This is an interesting conversation/idea, because I was just having it with some of my friends while planning our next Vegas trip. We were talking about how Vegas used to be where it was a club and a great experience and then VIP to make it even better, but if VIP becomes the norm (and it certainly has in Vegas) then whats next (and fuck how do I afford that)?
As far as Suite is concerned it looks awesome inside I'm excited to see it open and fully packed. I think the real interesting part is going to be that its not that big and probably 50% of the floor space and all the seating is dedicated to VIP bottle service parties. I personally haven't seen that much VIP service ever, anywhere.
Also another interesting tidbit is that the DJ booth is open with three VIP tables right behind him/her, talk about a lot of requests...

Haa ... reminds me of the door jam episode of Fraiser where they go to an exclusive spa and their pretentious, snobby, childish and selfish ways keep getting them in trouble by insisting on getting access to each exclusive area of the spa (from silver, to gold, to platinum, etc) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0582388/http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EtohgrHDJBk
